Report Types

When filling out a report please note that only the fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
E-mail addresses are only used to alert you to the status of your report.

Please choose from one of the following incident types:

  • Harassing Phone Call (Click Here)
    • If you have been the victim of unwanted phone calls of an annoying or harassing nature and do not know the person who is calling.
    • Example: Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc with no known suspects.
    • Please keep track of when calls occur and the number they are from (if you have caller ID).
    • If the phone call is of a threatening nature please call the Volusia Sheriff's Office to make a report with a Deputy.
  • Identity Theft (Click Here)
    • Obtaining someone else's personal identifying information and using it to obtain credit, goods or services.
    • Example: Someone obtains a credit card using your S.S.N or obtains phone service using your personal information.
  • Lost Property (Click Here)
    • Report property that is missing or lost.
    • Example: Property that is missing, leaving items in a restaurant, or missing from home.
    • Lost firearms cannot be reported online. Please call the Volusia Sheriff’s Office to make a report with a Deputy.
  • Theft (Click Here)
    • Report property that has been taken without your permission.
    • Example: Property known to be stolen can be reported. Lost property is not a theft.
    • Do not use this link if something was stolen from your vehicle. If something was stolen from inside your motor vehicle, please call the Volusia Sheriff’s Office to make a report with a Deputy
    • Stolen firearms and license plates cannot be reported online. Please call the Volusia Sheriff’s Office to make a report with a Deputy.
  • Theft of Vehicle Parts and Accessories (Click Here)
    • Motor Vehicle Parts and Acessories that are stolen off a vehicle.
    • Example: Parts/Accessories stolen off from a motor vehicle, regardless if the vehicle was locked or unlocked.
    • Property known to be stolen can be reported. Lost property is not a theft.
    • Stolen license plates cannot be reported online. Please call the Volusia Sheriff’s Office to make a report with a Deputy.
  • Vandalism less than $500 (Click Here)
    • The act of changing, modifying or defacing public or private property.
    • Example: Tires that were on a vehicle, a tailgate that was on a truck, a luggage rack that was attached to the vehicle.
    • Do not use this link if the damage is estimated to be over $500. Please call the Volusia Sheriff's Office to make a report with a Deputy.
  • Vandalism of Motor Vehicle (Click Here)
    • Damage to or tampering with a motor vehicle.
    • Example: Intentional damage to a vehicle that is less than $500.
    • This does not include any tampering with ignitions, please call the Volusia Sheriff's Office to make a report with a Deputy.
